Chapter 5. Loving Where I Live.
"Climb mountains not so the world can see you, but so you can see the world"
My hometown has always received a bunch of slack for being a "retirement" community or for being boring. While I can not say I am completely innocent of calling my home these names I do appreciate all the beauty that lives with in my humble little community.
So for this weeks blog I'm doing something a little different from my normal portraits. I'm going to show some of the nature shots I took at Chimney Rock a few weeks ago. I do have a confession to make. Landscapes/nature pictures have never been my specialty when it comes to taking pictures (Insert sad face emoji here). But I took some pretty okay shots and wanted to share just how beautiful this part of North Carolina is.
Chimney Rock (in my opinion) is a gorgeous area. Plus there is a ton of stuff to do in that neighbor hood. There is Chimney Rock Village where you can go shop around and buy "nick knacks" for yourself.. or your friends! After you've walked the village you can sit down and enjoy some nice cold ice cream! Or if you feeling really adventurous you could actually climb the Rock itself, or hike some of the trails!
My friend and I chose to walk around the village and do part of the river walk! So yes, you'll be seeing a lot of pictures of water. I wish I had more pictures of the rock itself, however, the village and river was just as much fun!
So there you have it! Sorry it was mostly pictures of the river, however I have always been drawn to water so my camera lens was to! In all seriousness though guys, Chimney Rock is Gorgeous and it's a great place to take the family!
...
I hope you guys enjoyed this weeks pictures! I'm still trying to keep it simple yet interesting! Also I have some really cool news! I started my own photography Instagram page! If you would like to follow it please do not hesitate!
